Outlook 2016 address list not updating

In order to reflect any changes or updates made to the Global Address List, you can force Outlook to download a new copy of the GAL.–For Instructions for Outlook 2007 –For Instructions for Outlook 2011 –For Common errors and troubleshooting Step 2: Uncheck the box next to Download changes since last Send/Receive.

This is called the Offline Address Book and is being generated on the Exchange server.If you are not seeing correct contact information in the GAL for someone that has a valid email address (i.e.someone who just received a CUMC email account, a new student, someone who recently changed their directory information) please use the steps below to synchronize your computer's locally cached version of the GAL.Synchronizing your Outlook (cached) address book with the Global Address book may fix these discrepancies.Instances of mail that is bounced back to the sender may also be fixed.In general, Outlook will automatically update the Offline Address Book (OAB) for Exchange accounts once every 24 hours.
